Seasoning Thyme: A Fusion of Flavors Inspired by Love and Culture

Seasoning Thyme grew from a lifetime of cooking, culture, and creativity. Before it became an online seasoning shop, it began in my former catering business, where I spent years preparing dishes for weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations. After every event, guests would approach me, eager to know the secret behind the unforgettable flavors in my food. They wanted the blends — the very seasonings that made my dishes stand out.

As a single mom balancing a full-time career, I couldn’t keep up with the growing demand, and eventually I had to close my catering doors. But that moment sparked a new vision. I realized that what people truly wanted wasn’t just my food — it was the flavor, the heritage, and the story behind it.

That’s when Seasoning Thyme was born.

I created my original all‑purpose seasoning out of necessity — something versatile enough to help me cook quickly without sacrificing flavor. It became the foundation of my brand: a blend that works beautifully on everything from vegetables and meats to melons and citrus. And because I love a little heat, I crafted a spicy version too — bold, vibrant, and still my personal favorite.

My culinary journey began long before catering. I was born and raised in Belize, where cooking is woven into everyday life. My grandmother was my first teacher, showing me how to cook with love, intuition, and creativity. Her influence shaped my palate and my passion.

After more than 40 years of living, cooking, and raising a family in the United States, my flavors naturally evolved into a Belizean‑American fusion — a blend of the Caribbean warmth I grew up with and the diverse food culture I embraced here. I wanted my seasonings to reflect that journey.

So, I began creating blends inspired by Belize’s rich spices, layered with the flavors and techniques I’ve learned throughout my decades in the U.S. The result is a unique fusion of flavors that brings people together, just like my grandmother’s kitchen once did.
